They produced five extraordinary children, Carole (John) Sayer, Jane (Joe) Mullen, Thomas (Lisa) Peterson, Jody (Charles) Ruhl, and John (Deb) Peterson. He is also survived by fifteen perfect grandchildren and four darling great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Mary Ellen Kelly of Libertyville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; his daughter, Jane; and his sister, Jeanette Peterson.

Leary was a man of great character, fair, honest, and humble. He was a true family man and a gentleman to the end. He loved golf, euchre and a good drink. He was an unpretentious man whose accomplishments were many. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Lori Knapp Inc. and Prairie Maison for their care and concern for Leary.
